Before the Rising finally rose.

We had a wonderful book launch at Wardini Books in Napier on 12th May.

From the dawn of human history stories have been used to document, question, philosophise, reflect, imagine, anticipate, warn, commemorate as well as to entertain. In writing Before the Rising, I was trying to not just create a story I hoped would be interesting, but also to ask some questions about some very real contemporary issues – climate change, the health of our planet’s oceans, our self-destructive pace of life.
